Nanjing Youth Federation

 

Nanjing Youth Federation (NYF) is a union organization, with the Communist Youth League as the core, of various youth groups, and it is a member of Youth Federation of Jiangsu Province.

NYF was founded in 1953, which predecessor as the Nanjing Federation of Democratic Youth. In 1958, in order to adapt the changing of the social situation, the name of “Nanjing Federation of Democratic Youth” was formally changed as “Nanjing Youth Federation” on the Forth Nanjing Youth Congress, and the original executive System of Youth Congress was changed to the Committee System. Some outstanding young people from various ethnic groups and organizations affiliated NYF were selected to compose the Committee.

Nanjing Youth Federation is an exchange medium for youth people from different ethnic groups. NYF always tries their best to provide good service for young people. They help young people to maintain their own legitimate rights and interests, and guide young people to participate in social activities. There are 10 groups with total 389 members in NYF. The current Chairman is Mr. Xing Zheng-jun, Vice-Chairmen are 14, the standing committee members are 69; In 2008, NYF cochaired 2008 World Urban Youth Assembly with UN Habitat in Nanjing..

Chair of the Federation Profile

Mr. Xing zhengjun, the Chair of the NYF, was born in Yancheng city of Jiangsu Province on March 1971. Xing obtained his Doctor Degree of Laws. He is currently the Vice-President of Jiangsu Youth Federation and the Chair of NYF.
